Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Defence Procurement Research, Technology and Exportability (DPRTE) event has been postponed. DPRTE 2020 will now take place on 3 September at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre.

What is DPRTE?

Organised by our parent company BiP Solutions, DPRTE is the UK’s leading annual defence procurement and supply chain event.

The event brings professionals from across the defence and cyber security marketplace together and is officially supported by the (UK) Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP).

The event provides a unique platform for both defence buyers and suppliers across the supply chain to engage across a range of interactive and educational features, including:

The Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) is a DPRTE 2020 event partner and representatives from the organisation will be attending this year’s event. DCPP is partnership between MOD and industry to decide upon cyber security standards across the defence supply chain.

DCPP Communications Manager, Phil Blunden, will be speaking at the Technology and Innovation Zone, where he will be presenting on “Cyber Defence and Risk: Securing the Supply Chain” to event delegates.

Cyber Essentials at DPRTE 2020

We are pleased to announce that Cyber Essentials will be attending DPRTE 2020.

If you have any questions about Cyber Essentials certification, join us at the Defence Market Support & Engagement Zone.

Our cyber security experts will be giving advice on how suppliers can stay safe from over 80% of common cyber threats and will be giving copies of our Cyber Security Checklist away to delegates for free.

Be a cyber secure link in the MOD supply chain

As the MOD’s supply chain is made up of a wide range of organisations, it must have strict conditions around supplier cyber security.

The MOD requires suppliers to have a Cyber Essentials certification by contract start date (at the latest). The certification must also be renewed annually. This requirement must flow down the supply chain.

Having Cyber Essentials:

  • Demonstrates control of your business network security
  • Supports GDPR compliance standards
  • Helps prevent 80% of common cyber attacks
  • Protects your business from data theft
  • Helps drive business efficiency and cost saving

If you are interested in becoming Cyber Essentials certified, find out more by getting in touch with a member of our expert team, or speak to us a DPRTE 2020.
